A Performing Presence

Giuliano Bastianelli is an highly motivated, energetic and experienced guitar player and teacher.

Based in Italy he works principally as session musician and producer in differents projects, as a song writers or jazz/blues style.

Recently he played sessions with a wide range of Italian and International musicians including Massimo Di Cataldo, Tullio De Piscopo, Galoni, Luca Carocci, Il Muro del Canto, Margherita Vicario, Alfredo Serafini, CoreaCore, Francesco Di Giacomo (Banco del Mutuo Soccorso), Jimmy Z (Eurythmics, Rod Stewart), Sarah Grace Horley.

His portfolio includes over 50 collaborations as guitarist, performer and producer.

He has played in more important Festivals in Italy and Europe, like Trojan Horse Was a Unicorn (Lisbon), Maledetta Primavera (Turin), Breminale Festival (Bremen), Wind Music Awards (Verona), Musicultura (Macerata), Percussioni nel Cusio, Monreale Rock, Rock Targato Italia, Premio Mia Martini, Premio Lunezia, Festival di Napoli.

In 2013 Giuliano worked as co-producer at the album “Lotto Ventisette”, of the band Coreacore from Roma,the last track recorded from Francesco di Giacomo of Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, one of the most important italian progressive voice, playing together the song called “Lella”.


 

Apart from his recording and live works, Giuliano also has an active career as an educator. He teaches in, and runs, his own private music school “Fattore Musica”in Velletri (south of Rome) as well as in a private Montessori School “Il Giardino di Archimede”, and in Italian Public School as Special Needs teacher after his specialization in 2024.

 

He completed his Master Degree in Jazz Guitar at the “Ottorino Respighi” Conservatory of Latina in July 2020.

During years he had chance to study with differents Italian guitar teachers like Umberto Fiorentino, Fabio Zeppetella, Antonio Affrunti, Giorgio Secco, Roberto Di Virgilio, Moreno Viglione, Alberto Lombardi, and to take part to a lot of Masterclass with Italian and International Musician as John Scofield, Mike Stern, Joe Diorio, Robben Ford, Scott Henderson, Carl Verheyen, Stef Burns, Stochelo Rosemberg.


 

Since 2012 he has lived in Giulianello di Cori, a small village near Latina which provides him with the free time he needs to devote to composing and study.
